Where did my content go?

By default, content submitted to the site by members who are logged in is "Visible to members, Maintain as a draft." This means it will be visible to anyone who is logged in to the site.

Perhaps the quickest way to access this content is to use the "My Content" link in the "Recent Content" box on the left side of the screen, under the box titled with your username. This link takes you to a page that lists only that content that you have submitted to the site.

There are a variety of other ways to access the content directly:

  • URL: Utilize the URL entered into the content. This URL might have been generated by the URL Path system of dropdowns at the top of the page, or using the URL Path Settings at the bottom of the page.
Note: If you used the URL Path Settings text box at the bottom of the screen, and you included a leading slash, you will need to access the content using the node number, which is available here.
  • Node Number: If you know the unique identification number of the content (known as a node number on the MMI site), you can access the content directly using http://marinemetadata.org/node/####
  • Search: If you are logged in, you can use the search box to identify the recently added content.
