Community Vocabulary Issues

A unique set of issues must be addressed when an organization is hosting vocabularies developed elsewhere. Technical, social, and legal concerns require attention, and the chosen technologies must help address the other concerns.

In this section we briefly outline key issues to consider when hosting other vocabularies, and how the technology must be applied to meet those needs.

This section is in preliminary draft form, and is publicly available with the understanding that it is not an official representation of the MMI position. This preamble will be removed once the document has been internally reviewed.   Ed.—2008.09.25
