Positive

The following aspects of the process were positive.

Creating a metadata record for a sensor really helped us explore the FGDC standard.

Having a team of "experts" with different experiences in the standard was beneficial.

Negative

The following aspects of the process were negative.

It would have helped a lot to have an expert on one of the instruments in our group. We had a number of questions that we made assumptions about.

Neutral

The following aspects of the process just were.

We had to build an FGDC record for a sensor before we could adequately answer the use case questions.

The FGDC standard is very flexible, so it would be possible to document a sensor using different fields. It may be necessary to incorporate different "templates" of fields when comparing FGDC sensor records to others. Or it may be necessary to develop guidance on how to create consistent records.
