It includes all aspects of the science, technology, management and conservation of these environments, their organisms and resources, and the economic, sociological and legal aspects.

MMI Ontology Registry and Repository

The MMI Ontology Registry and Repository is a Web-based application where ontology providers and users can collaborate to create, host, annotate, share, and use ontologies of relevance to the marine science community.

This set of services is a key component of the Semantic Framework being devoloped by the Marine Metadata Interoperability Project (MMI).
