Final edits to the unformatted report were completed. Problems with the previous report were addressed with a FAQ summary in the beginning. Survey results (38!) were reviewed and integrated. Open action items:

The first draft of the workshop report is taking shape, but requires additional content and review. The report also demands more feedback from a few of the leads. The Open Geospatial Consortium is also doing related work (on 1451) and must be contacted.

A first draft of the workshop report is largely written, and conclusions have been through multiple iterations. The alliance with ACT is potentially quite promising, starting with the potential to simultaneously release recommendations from the two workshops. Pursuing these opportunities is a high priority for the coming period. Open action items:

The workshop report is steadily improving. It has been reorganized to emphasize conclusions, with much of the other material moving to an appendix (or even on-line). Contacting the Open Geospatial Consortium re their related work (on 1451) remains an action item. Also the existing survey results must be reviewed and compiled.

Final edits to the Word version of the report were completed, including presentation of statistics from the survey. The participants gave the workshop good marks overall, but some areas needed improvement (training, time allocation). Given the complexity of the workshop and the various challenges we faced, the survey results and comments are quite positive.
