Xtme

This editor, developed by USGS, helps the user create FGDC-compliant metadata. It is intended to be used in concert with the MP compiler. First, the user creates the metadata record and then the user runs the record through the compiler to verify that it syntactically meets FGDC standards. “This editor is written using Standard C to run on UNIX systems with the X Window System, release 11, version 5 or later. It utilizes the X Toolkit and the Athena widget set, which are available on nearly all X distributions.”
