SeaDataNet Vocabularies and Server
The European Union SeaDataNet project is producing multiple detailed vocabularies, and a server system to provide access to the terms.
Project Introduction
The European Union has funded a significant multi-national, multi-system data management project called SeaDataNet. This 6-year project will provide metadata, data and products as a unique virtual data centre.
To support the requirements of SeaDataNet, the Technical Task Team is charged with developing software and capabilities according to standards, using SeaSearch work as a starting point. Two products of particular interest are a set of constructed and agreed vocabularies, and a server oriented toward managing vocabularies at the level of specific terms.
