The Standards Process Group of NASA's Earth Sciences Data Systems Working Group regularly reviews standards of interest to the earth science data management community, including marine data management.

Description

NASA's Earth Sciences Data Systems Standards Process Group regularly reviews standards and techical developments of interest to the earth science data management community. They work with many of the same standards as the marine metadata community, and must follow many of the same technical developments.

Meetings address topics such as:

  • Standards Process Experiences
  • ISO Metadata Standards
  • THREDDS/CF Metadata Conventions for NetCDF
  • OGC Catalogue Service/Web (ebRIM Profile, NASA experience)
  • Metadata Standards in the GCMD
  • Google Maps and KML
