ITSC Ontologies

The Information Technology and Systems Center (ITSC), at University of Alabama in Huntsville, is building ontologies for specialized domains and software tools that use a number of ontologies. The ITSC is a partner in the NSF information technology research project LEAD (Linked Environments for Atmospheric Discovery). They created an ontology that provides semantic metadata for data sets and serves as an educational service, knowledge resource and community reference. Involved with NOESIS and Sea grass ontology at GoMRC (Gulf of Mexico Regional Collaborative).

They also talk about an ontology that connects COARDS CF to other ontologies.
