GEON Summer Institute

Metadata-related materials from the Cyberinfrastructure Summer Institute, put on by GEON each year. 2005 includes presentations on Semantic Web and Knowledge Representation, Ontologies in GEON, and many other (non-metadata) data systems related topics, like web services.
GEON puts on a Cyberinfrastructure Summer Institute each year, which covers many cyberinfrastructure topics over the course of the year. The presentations (slides, webcasts, and often notes) are posted on the GEON web site.

Presentations of interest in 2005 (attended by an MMI member) include Semantic Web and Knowledge Representation and Ontology Based Resource Registration and Integration in GEON. Go to the link cited above and scroll down to Thursday sessions.

There are many other data management, web services, and cyberinfrastructure related presentations. Almost all are taught by GEON and SDSC researchers.
