DMAC Implementation Plan

The DMAC Implementation Plan contains an integrated architecture for data management and communications in a national (U.S.), sustained ocean observing system. It is detailed, comprehensive, and mature, having been through many review cycles by many reviewers.

There is a lot of discussion of metadata in the DMAC Implementation Plan.

The Implementation Plan has been released as of May 10, 2004. Many of the recommendations are long-term and are not yet implemented, however.
