Metadata Standards Comparison Matrix Initiated

The IOOS (Integrated Ocean Observing System) Data Management and Communications Metadata Expert Team initiated a matrix comparing metadata standards and schema. Although it is by no means complete, the matrix is now posted on the Marine Metadata Interoperability (MMI) website (http://marinemetadata.org/content/refs/contentstdinfo/).

By posting this matrix through the MMI website, the community can review the work that has been done to date and contribute to the matrix. Details of the content standards and schema that are included in the matrix and access to downloadable copies of the files are available from the Content Standards Field Comparison Matrix: Introduction page.
