NOAA Improves Capabilities for Ocean Data
The web site geoplace.com reported this summer on NOAA's recent ocean data initiatives, including the Data Integration Framework project: "The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is linking together ocean-observation data from a variety of federal and nonfederal sources. The project should make it easier to access ocean-temperature, salinity, water-level, current, wind and wave data gathered by NOAA and other organizations."
