MMI's Bermudez Joining SURA

MMI Technical Lead Luis Bermudez is starting a new position at SURA in January; a search for his replacement is under way.

With mixed sadness (for MMI) and delight (for Luis), the Marine Metadata Interoperability Project reports that Technical Lead Luis Bermudez will be taking a new position with Southeastern Universities Research Association, beginning 1 January 2008. This project will be a great opportunity for Luis and his family, and we are also thrilled that his new position will allow Luis to continue his involvement in some of the most exciting MMI projects.

MMI has begun the process of finding a replacement to fill this position. When a full job description has been developed, it will be posted on the MBARI web site, at http://www.mbari.org/oed/jobs (and this news item will be updated to point directly to the job announcement).
