Great Device Ontology Kickoff

MMI hosted a successful kickoff telecon to begin developing device ontologies (ontologies are the hierarchical vocabularies that will be needed for Open Geospatial Consortium standards). The first call included 16 participants (many from Europe), 34 people have joined the mail list, and Marine Technology Reporter magazine plans an article.
