CF Point Observations Working Group
This news announces a community project to develop a ""Point Observation Data"" convention for the netCDF CF specification.
The netCDF Climate and Forcast (CF) conventions do not fully address the needs of users collecting point observation data. A group of people has formed to generate a proposal for a point observations data convention, to present to the CF committee.
To participate, you will want to be either interested in the nuts and bolts of netCDF and CF, or have point/station/trajectory/profile/etc. type data and want to find standard/interoperable ways to write it to disk.
