Q2O CTD/DO Domain Experts Meeting

04/20/2010 - 00:51
04/22/2010 - 00:51

The QARTOD-to-OGC (Q2O) Project and the University of South Florida College of Marine Sciences are hosting a workshop scheduled for April 20-22, 2010 in St. Petersburg, FL.

The Q2O Project is funded by the NOAA IOOS to build on the work done by the QARTOD-V Biogeochemical Parameters and the prior QARTOD CTD/DO groups by incorporating QA/QC parameters into the OGC Sensor Web Enablement framework.

The workshop will identify requirements for biogeochemical observation QA/QC SensorML descriptions (defining tests, processing, inputs, parameters, and considering which parameters and descriptors are stationary within a sensor profile and which may change but need to be described). The workshop will also address metadata requirements for populating SensorML files.  As with previous Q2O topics (waves and in situ currents) this workshop will bring together domain experts from sensor manufacturing, field experts, data managers, representatives from the scientific community, IT experts and OGC SensorML developers.
