Coastal Geotools 2009
Hosted by the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Coastal Geotools is a series of conferences designed for data managers and scientists working in coastal regions.

The Coastal GeoTools conference is held every two years, and focuses on geospatial data, tools, technology, and information for coastal resource management professionals. The conference is held in odd years beginning in 1999, making 2009 the sixth Coastal GeoTools conference.
Coastal GeoTools is the conference series that focuses on the technical information needs of the nation's coastal programs. The theme for 2009 is "Building the Digital Coast", a new initiative that provides easy access to organized and relevant data, tools, and technical training.
GeoTools 2009 Highlights a Decade of Change in Geospatial Technology
The opening plenary session will be hosted by the Digital Coast Partners and will provide their perspective on the importance of geospatial technologies to their constituents. The Wednesday Luncheon discussion will feature a group of geospatial and coastal management experts, who will highlight a decade of change in the application of geospatial technology to coastal management.
