CMC2008, the Third International Conference on Concept Mapping has as a purpose bringing together scholars and practitioners interested in the use of the concept mapping tool first developed at Cornell University in 1972.

The Conference is aimed at all persons interested in the use of concept maps, including, but not limited to: facilitation of learning; eliciting, capturing, archiving, and using "expert" knowledge; planning instruction; assessment of "deep" understandings; research planning; collaborative knowledge modeling; creation of "knowledge portfolios"; and administrative planning and monitoring. We expect participants from a broad range of fields presenting a wide variety of research and applications of concept mapping.
