Hosted by the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Coastal Geotools is a series of conferences designed for data managers and scientists working in coastal regions.

The Coastal GeoTools conference is held every two years, and focuses on geospatial data, tools, technology, and information for coastal resource management professionals. The conference is held in odd years beginning in 1999, making 2009 the sixth Coastal GeoTools conference.
