Web Team—July 2008

The Drupal site went live on a new server at MBARI. Because of some lingering issues, a 'site status' page was linked to the home page, outlining problems and ongoing solutions. Most of the major issues have been handled.

Main ongoing problems are duplicate content and broken links. These are being done painstakingly by hand; duplicate content is tricky and must be examined on a case-by-case basis to determine if 2 nodes are really identical and/or which, or how many should be kept.

Web services that were handled by marinemetadata.org will now be on mmiws.org, however that system is not yet fully operational. Luis and Paul are working on these services and the correct redirects.
