Ontologies - March 2007
Continue discussions about URIs vs URLs. Two web ontology tools were updated: Voc2RDF (was Voc2OWL) and SEMOR.
Voc2OWL was updated to Voc2RDF, and a first version was made accessible in the web. http://mmisw.org/ontmd/voc2rdf/
The Semantic Mediation Service SEMOR was updated so that it now runs using the JFACES framework. Two possible searches are now available: with string (regular expressions) matching and with SERQL queries. More examples were added and the service was made accessible via SOAP web services.
Plans are to update this service to SPARQL and the W3C SOAP recommendation in the coming months.
