The NCEAS proposal for INTEROP was approved for funding by NSF this month. Luis Bermudez (now of SURA) contributed to this proposal and will be performing the MMI-related work.John Graybeal is participating in the 'SWE Common' working group for the Open Geospatial Consortium Sensor Web Enablement standards development, as well as other Sensor Web Enablement discussions.Relatively few INTEROP proposals appear to be funded, and NSF has cancelled this year's INTEROP solicitation.The Sensor Web Enablement participation enables MMI to move this process forward to support capabilities needed by OOSTethys, among other projects. There is some discussion of participating or activating the regular SWE Working Group, but no one on OOSTethys has the time to engage in this right now.
