Ontologies—February 2009
The team submitted a proposal for an earth science ontology repository to NSF's Strategic Technologies for Cyberinfrastructure solicitation.
A proposal entitled "Collaborative Research: Earth Sciences Semantic Interoperability Framework—A 21st Century Rosetta Stone" was submitted to the NSF Strategic Technologies for Cyberinfrastructure (STCI) solicitation in collaboration with SURA, UCSD, and TAMU.
Worked continued in the Ontology for Devices group around the specification of facets with the goal of reflecting the various categories in the ontology.
