Fun and Entertaining Wrapup Planned

For all of you coming to the Huntsville meetings this August 25-28, please join us at our MMI Planning Wrapup activity on Monday night! We are going to have a fun time, with minimum seriousness and maximum getting together time, not to mention some really good food. The event will be from 6:30 to 8:30(-ish) -- you'll be able to sneak out earlier if you want, but also stay a little longer if you're having fun. (I, for one, plan to stay as late as they'll let us.)

Guaranteed Fun Time

I don't normally guarantee fun at events I host, but this one I'm going out on a limb and guaranteeing a good time. If not, well, hey, the food is on me. (What's not to like?) Even if you aren't already signed up for the MMI Planning Meeting, please make it a point to come to this wrapup if you can. It will be a great chance to get into the local swing of things before we start in on Tuesday.

Things to Know

You don't have to know much...there will be a small amount of walking involved, so casual dress is encouraged (it IS Alabama). A small amount of coordination and/or metadata knowledge is a plus, but will not be required, and luck will be a fair substitute. The event will be about 15 minutes city driving from UAH. We will get people there from the planning meeting, and will get people back to their hotels from the event. If you can, arrange your arrival for to be there early enough to attend; but If you are just arriving at the airport at 6 or 7 or even 8, come by the event on the way to your hotel, it will be worth it. By the way, it should be possible to bring a guest or two if that lets you come -- even of the younger set. Ask me (John G) if you want more information on that possibility.
