MMI Program and Technical Leads
The Marine Metadata Interoperability Project is led by its Lead Principal Investigator, assisted by its Technical Lead. (The leads' contact information may be found at the links provided.)
Leadership is also provided by the MMI Principal Investigators and the MMI Steering Committee.
The Lead Principal Investigator is responsible for coordinating all facets of the project, setting the project's direction with the guidance and approval of the Steering Committee, and contributing technically and logistically to the project as needed to meet project objectives. The Lead Principal Investigator leads meetings of the Steering Committee and Executive Committee, and guides activities of the Technical Advisory Panel and Science Advisory Panel.
The Technical Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating all the technical activities of the project. Responsibilities include site management, software development, metadata architecture development and review, standards guidance, and project liaison. The Technical Lead leads meetings of the Technical Team, as well as coordinating key ontological and architectural projects of MMI.
