Status of Ontology Guides

• Review of method for posting new guides

• guides need to be reviewed by at least one person other than author
• Paul needs to finish intro sections, expects to be finished with this by the end of the week.
• *Paul will email group to review these when finished. *Andrew & Karen will look over, others are encouraged to do so also.
• In particular, Paul would like to know if the examples given in the new guides are clear enough and useful.
• *Paul will move his and John's guides over to live TOC when they are ready (III.F. etc.)
• Ideally these need to be posted by end of next week, in time for AGU conference 12/15.
• *Karen will review III.D.2. when John is finished with it. 

Review of guides style work

• Guides style planning is finished
• *Paul is tasked with getting this up and running asap.
• Caryn's final design is at http://marinemetadata.org/images/guidedesignfinal (aka http://marinemetadata.org/node/6572)
• New book icon (left nav menu) is on http://dribble.whoi.edu site for review
• email Andrew comments/suggestions/approval on icon
• Feedback form is also in a trial run on the dribble.whoi.edu site as well, located at bottom right of page.
• It has been decided that the Guides feedback form will ultimately have a 1-10 rating system as well as a free text box.
• The current feedback module does not allow for this kind of configuration.
• *Paul will be looking into implementation of other more appropriate modules.
• *In the meantime, Paul will get the simple feedback module with text form working, and then we can move to the more tailored rating/text form  sometime in the near future.
• The current simple feedback form might eventually be used for general feedback on the whole site. 
• Location of feedback box in new style?
• Add colored (probably beige) strip above blue nav bar at bottom of guides text that requests feedback on guide - all present were agreed on this.
• *Karen will work on specific text for guides feedback form

Other

• *Paul will add a link for the Guides team mailing list sign-up on the Guides team page
• *John will email Andrew regarding the creation of an AGU page, like http://marinemetadata.org/community/teams/presence/agu/2008fall/members2008fall
