Participants from SESAR, NGDC, and MGDS are working collaboratively to develop controlled vocabularies for metadata elements including:
  • platform id (e.g. ship name)
  • platform type
  • collection id (e.g. cruise name)
  • equipment type
  • sample type
  • sample classification
